You Can Still Watch the Boston Marathon On-Demand

If you were unable to watch last Monday’s Boston Marathon, you can still watch it at http://www.wcsn.com. In fact, the entire broadcast of the race will be archived there for 12 months, race organizers announced today. There is no charge for viewing this video, thanks to sponsorship support from adidas, an official race sponsor, and MarathonGuide.com.

Watch the CVS Caremark Downtown 5-K On the Web

Watch the NYC Marathon ONLINE - Live or OnDemand!

NBC Sports and MediaZone.com have teamed up to provide “Live and On Demand” online coverage of this Sunday’s ING New York City Marathon for only $4.99.

So - if you can’t get to a TV and need to watch it on your computer OR if you miss the action - then this is certainly the way to go.

There are some cool features embedded in this service, such as the “Runner Cam Tracker” which allows viewers to track their favorite runner throughout the race b y entering their bib number.

However, I predict that this coverage will, as per usual for the media’s coverage of major marathons, focus on the sensational stories (like Dean Karnazes and Lance Armstrong) and spend only minimal time addressing the elite runners.
