Price Breaks USA High School 800m Record

chanelle price millrose games new york gamesU.S. junior 800m runner Chanelle Price put in another outstanding performance last Saturday at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletics Association (PIAA) Track and Field Championships in Shippensburg. The 17 year-old athlete, who is in her final year at Easton High School, dominated the two-lap event with a 2:02.90 clocking, ten seconds up on runner-up Shaniel Chambers of Chester (2:12.18).

Her mark broke four-time Olympian Joetta Clark-Diggs’ National Federation of High Schools record (2:04.50) and two-time Olympic medalist Kim Gallagher’s PIAA meet record (2:05.47), according to USA Track & Field.
