The Belmar 5-Mile Race is a fantastic and fun race that is 1 of the 5 races within the Jersey Shore Golden Grand Prix series. Having participated in several Belmar 5’s, I can say that Runners World Magazine made a smart choice by including it as one of its “six favorite firecrackers”.
Taking place on July 8, 2006 and expecting about 3,500 runners, the Belmar 5 is a great event for beginners and elite runners alike. The flat course runs through a wonderful Jersey Shore town with a very scenic view of the Atlantic Ocean.
On behalf of the entire staff here at The Final Sprint, we would like to congratulate the Jersey Shore Running Club (JSRC) on this accomplishment and on the 30th anniversary of the Belmar 5.
