World marathon record-holder Paula Radcliffe gives birth to a baby girl

Congratulations to Paula Radcliffe, the world marathon record-holder, and her husband Gary Lough on the birth of their first child. Paula gave birth to a healthy, baby girl this morning in Monaco on the French Riviera.
Talk about being born with speed genes! With the world’s fastest female marathon runner for a mother and a father who has ran the 1500m in 3:34 - this child certainly would seem to have a future running career somewhere in her genetic makeup!
The Final Sprint and I would like to express our sincere congratulations to Paula and Gary.
