On November 4th, Borland finished his 63rd marathon in 63 straight days, a feat never before accomplished. Called the A-T Cure Tour, Borland set out to accomplish this arduous task in order to raise awareness for the A-T Children’s project, a non-profit organization that raises funds to support and coordinate first-rate biomedical research projects, scientific workshops, and a clinical center aimed at finding a cure or life-improving therapies for ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T), a rare, fatal genetic disease that affects children.

NYC Marathon Now Has Official Song

Bekele Vs. Tadese in Edinburgh X-C Showdown
Six-time World Cross-Country champ Kenenisa Bekele (in photo at right) will take on 2007 world champion (in both cross-country and road running) Zersenay Tadese at the Great Edinburgh International Cross Country meet on January 12th, 2008. Wallace Spearmon Finishes Season Strong
Wallace Spearmon won his 3rd race in 5 days with a 100/200m double at the Colorful Daegu Athletics Meeting in Daegu, South Korea. His time in the 200m was 19.88, the 7th fastest time in the world in 2007. He ran a 10.11 in the 100m. Read more at: [IAAF]
Lance Armstrong Plans to Run Another Sub 3 in NYC
Legendary cyclist Lance Armstrong has announced that he will run his 2nd NYC marathon this November and will try to break 3 hours again. Considering that he is 5 lbs. lighter than he was last year and is running without shinsplints, he will probably do considerably better than that.
