LIVE at the Boston Marathon: Women begin to pick it up; Hit 10k in 34:50

The pack of leading women are all over the place and have run scattered over the width of the road for over the last miel. Currently, Askale Tafa Maagarsa and Magdaline Chemjor of Ethiopia have taken the lead; reaching the 10k mark in 34:50. Pre-Race Favorites Prokopcuka, Jeptoo and Grigoryeva are right on their heals.

After running a painfully slow fifth mile (5:55), they picked it up a bit for mile 6 (5:30).
