Magdalena Lewy Boulet has lengthened her lead in the U.S. Olympic Trials: Women’s Marathon through the half marathon. Her half split was 1:14:37 with the chase pack 1:50 back.
Deena Kastor, Mary Akor, and Blake Russell have begun to assert themselves a bit in this pack, but to this point have not gained significant ground on Magdalena.
The breeze has picked up off the Charles, encouraging the chase pack to draft off each other rather than chase Lewy Boulet (who is facing the wind alone but still looks great).
