Magdalena Lewy Boulet continues to lead the U.S. Olympic Trials: Women’s Marathon 10 miles into the race.
Lewy Boulet ran 5:33, 5:50, 5:42 for her last 3 miles and continues to lead by about 1:26. Lewy Boulet, as are many women in the field, is a great story. She’s actually a Polish immigrant who became a U.S. citizen on 9/11/01 and ran a 32:43 10k PB two weeks ago.
She will be aided by the relative lack of wind on the famously brutal Massachusetts Avenue Bridge. Deena Kastor, Mary Akor, Blake Russell, Kate O’Neill, Elva Dryer, and 6 other women continue to track her from the chase pack.
