Elite Fields Posted for Central Park Challenge

dathan ritzenhein finishing 2007 u.s. olympic men's marathon trialsThe elite fields for the upcoming Central Park Challenge, which includes the U.S. Men’s 8-K Championship, have now been posted by the race organizers, the New York Road Runners.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 15. Please see these links:

A $70,000 prize money purse is on the line, with $10,000 going to each race winner. Top entrants include Alan Webb, Dathan Ritzenhein (Pictured) and Shalane Flanagan.

    How about some predictions?

    I say for the men’s race it will be: Dobson, Ritzenhein, Webb. On the women’s: Flanagan, Rhines, and … Huddle.

    I don’t know much about the foreign women, though, so I’m just focusing on Americans.
