Wallace Spearmon Finishes Season Strong
Wallace Spearmon won his 3rd race in 5 days with a 100/200m double at the Colorful Daegu Athletics Meeting in Daegu, South Korea. His time in the 200m was 19.88, the 7th fastest time in the world in 2007. He ran a 10.11 in the 100m. Read more at: [IAAF]

Lance Armstrong Plans to Run Another Sub 3 in NYC
Legendary cyclist Lance Armstrong has announced that he will run his 2nd NYC marathon this November and will try to break 3 hours again. Considering that he is 5 lbs. lighter than he was last year and is running without shinsplints, he will probably do considerably better than that. Read more at: [NY Times]
30 down, 33 To Go for One-Marathon-A-Day Man
Tim Borland ran his 30th marathon in 30 days in Independence, MO this morning on his way to 63 marathons in 63 days. He is trying to raise awareness of ataxia-telangiectasia, a rare, deadly immune disease that affects children, in the hopes of finding a cure. By the time he is finished, he will have run over 1,650 miles. So far he has raised $500,000. Read more at: [The Kansas City Star]
Paula Radcliffe Will Run NYC Marathon
Paula Radcliffe, the marathon world record holder, will run her first marathon in 2 years at the ING NY City Marathon in November. Radcliffe is coming off a 2nd place finish last Sunday at the BUPA Great North Run half-marathon her first race since giving birth to a daughter, Isla. Read more at: [Runner’s World]
Oregon Cross-Country Moves Up to Number 1
The men’s cross-country team of the University of Oregon moved up to number 1 in the USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Rankings after beating the University of Wisconsin in the Dellinger Invitational. In the women’s Div. I rankings, the Ducks are ranked 3rd. Read more at: [GoDucks]
