Shanghai Grand PrixHuge Names to Run in Shanghai This Friday
Tyson Gay and Veronica Campbell (100m), Asafa Powell (200m), Jeremy Wariner (400m) and Kenenisa Bekele (1500m) are all set to run this Friday in Shanghai, China in the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix at the University Town Stadium. James Carney Plans on Being the X-Factor at the Olympic Trials Marathon
James Carney, 2nd place finisher at the USA 20K Championships on 9/04/2007 behind Dan Browne, said in a New York Road Runners interview that, “I think I have a very good chance of doing well, and I’m going into the race thinking that I can make the team.” He heads into the November 3rd race with a 27:43.64 qualifying time in the 10000m at the Stanford Invitational. 30th Clarence Demar Marathon to Be Held This Weekend
The 30th Annual Clarence Demar Marathon, named in honor of the legendary seven-time winner of the Boston Marathon (the only person to ever had done so) will be held this weekend, September 30th, 2007 in New Hampshire. Vote on the 2007 European Athlete of the Year Poll

Today is the last day to vote for the 2007 Waterford Crystal European Athlete of the Year. The male and female European Athletes of the Year will be selected from a list of 29 men and 30 women. Some of the big names include Croatian High Jump world-beater Blanka Vlašic and Czech decathlete Roman Šebrle. Read more and vote at: [European Athletics]

Xiang Liu Vs. Dayron Robles in 110m Hurdles Shanghai Showdown
Xiang Liu will face Dayron Robles this Friday, September 28th, 2007 at the Shanghai Grand Prix. Both men have run times of 12.92 this season, the 4th fastest of all time. Xiang won the Osaka world championship, but Robles has been peaking late this season and should be ready for him. Read more at: [The Hindu]
