IAAF World Athletics Final: Women’s 100m

Carmelita Jeter, bronze medalist at Osaka, wasn’t going to have to worry about gold medalist Veronica Campbell (JAM), Campbell deciding to have ended her season. Silver medalist Lauryn Williams was still in the race, though, as was 200m world champion Allyson Felix.
Jeter had what it took in Stuttgart, winning in a respectable 11.10, with Felix second in 11.15 and France’s Christine Arron third in 11.20. Williams was 5th. After the race, Jeter announced that she had two more races to run this season, in Shanghai and Korea. Felix announced that she had just run the last race of her outstanding season. Here are the final results:
