AT&T USA Outdoor T&F Champs: Powell defeats Perry to repeat in 100m hurdles

Among the top competitors in today’s 100m hurdles were defending champion Virginia “Ginnie” Powell, Dawn Harper, LoLo Jones, Michelle Perry (the reigning world champion), and Gail Devers protege Danielle Carruthers.
After an uncustomary false start by Michelle Perry, Powell and Perry blasted out of the blocks. Topping Perry (12.72), Powell once again became the U.S. 100m hurdle champion (12.63) Jones finished third in 12.79.
