khannouchi_khalidEpisode 51 of The Final Sprint Podcast features an interview with Khalid Khannouchi, arguably the best marathoner in history, and also marks the beginning of TFS’ LIVE coverage of tomorrow’s Healthy Kidney 10k.

Khalid, a former marathon and 20k world record holder, is also the only man to ever run under 2:06 in the marathon on three occasions.

On Saturday, Khalid will make his NYC racing debut at the before mentioned NYRR Healthy

Kidney 10k in Central Park where will face a competitive field that also includes Australia’s Craig Mottram and U.S. Olympian Dathan Ritzenhein.

podtrac_survey_120x60_v2In the interview Khalid talks about how his health has progressed since an injury forced him out of April’s Flora London Marathon, a desire to turn his season around, preparing for the race and why it has taken so long for the NYC metro area resident to enter a race in the city.
