2007 London Marathon: Elite women are on their way!

The elite women are off as the 2007 London Marathon kicks off at 9am (London time)!

Kiplagat, and Johnson are currently leading the group behind the two pacers. Zhou and Adere are following right on the heels of the two leaders.

All of favorites look strong and confident thus far. The first mile is crossed at a 5:27, a little bit slow for what they were attempting which was a 5:20 pace.

The weather is warmer than usual; something that may really wear on them as the race gets into the latter stages.
