Top contenders announced for 2007 USA Women’s Marathon Championships

jeptoo_rita1.jpgThe Boston Athletic Association (BAA) has released a list of the top contenders for the USA Women’s Marathon Championship which will be held in conjunction with the 111th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 16, 2007.

The field is led by U.S. record holder, Deena Kastor, who will be trying to get the overall Boston title against defending champion Rita Jeptoo and reigning ING New York City Marathon champion, Jelena Prokopcuka.

A separate $70,000 prize money purse is on the line for U.S. women. For a complete, female elite entrant list (as of 2/26/07), please click here.
