Reebok made a big splash last November at the ING New York City Marathon when they unveiled their new newest running shoe, the Pump Paris Trainers. These stability and cushioning shoes, set for a February 2007 release, were designed by NASA and MIT-trained engineers. The Final Sprint had the opportunity to preview and test these stability and cushioning trainers. They feature an adjustable air bladder and chamber that Reebok claims will automatically adjust to a runner’s foot and allow for a custom fit. There is also an easy-to-use pump and release for manual control of the air bladder.
Our wear testers found the air bladder to provide significant comfort in the heel region. However, several of them felt that there should be additional cushioning in the forefoot and midsole areas. These changes could also improve upon the heel to toe transition and an overall smoother ride. Wear testers were impressed with the breathability of the Pump Paris Trainers and found them to dry quickly. They also have 3M Scotchlite reflective material along the outer; making them a good addition to your night running apparel.
Reebok’s Paris Pump Trainers are a bit pricey in their current state, but we are impressed with the concept behind them. We also look forward to future upgrades and new Pump models in their Premier Running collection.

The Final Sprint
Great review. I have a pair of these and they are comfy. Overcame the arch issue w/ some inserts.
