December 20th, 2006 at 5:48 pmLike some others have said, my favorite workout songs depend on the mood that I’m in. I either go for club music (house) or hard rock, both which do a great job getting my adrenaline pumping.
As for the club songs - anything from Benny Benassi or the Benassi Bros gets me going. A few in particular are: Born to be Alive, Turn Me Up, Rocket in the Sky, California Dreamin, and Somebody’s Watchin Me. Also, the World is Mine by David Guetta is nuts!
And the rock - My all-time favorite pump-up song is Enter Sandman by Metallica. Another one of their songs, Fuel, is up there as well. I also max out my workouts with Breaking the Habit and Crawling by Linkin Park, Killing in the Name Of by Rage Against the Machine, Thunderstruck by AC/DC, and Welcome to the Jungle by Guns and Roses.

December 21st, 2006 at 5:19 amThough it will sound prissy, I do feel the need to observe that for safety reasons I do not believe it’s advisable to listen to an iPod while running outside! December 25th, 2006 at 5:32 pmI don’t have any workout songs! I’ve never tried listening to music during a run. Don’t even own a Walkman, much less an iPod.
However, if I were going to pick some songs that pick me up and put me in the mood to go for it, it would be an odd mix indeed: “R-E-S-P-E-C-T”, “This One’s for the Girls,” “You’re Just What I Needed,” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” and any of the up-tempo songs from BRUCE’S “Seeger Sessions” albums — “Old Dan Tucker,” “John Henry,” and those other foot-stompin’ ballads.
You wouldn’t want me to DJ a party. :)
