About two weeks ago we reported that Justin Gatlin, the banned and hypocritical track star, had tried out for the Houston Texans, an NFL football team.
Well it looks like the once ardent spokesperson for eradicating doping from sports and the now banned, drug-user is at it again. ESPN.com and the Associated Press have reported that Gatlin tried out for another NFL team, the Arizona Cardinals, a few days ago.
Gatlin is currently facing an eight year ban from track & field and a possible revocation of his co-world record for the 100m. He has also not played football since he was in high school, but his speed has still been enough to get the attention of several NFL scouts.
Under normal circumstances, a team would have probably already taken a shot on Gatlin even if he was only going to be used as a punt and/or kick return specialist. However, one would figure that many teams are be reluctant to sign the un-employed Gatlin because they fear that he might once again turn to performance enhancing drugs and violate the NFL’s strict substance abuse policy.
What do YOU think? Would you want him on YOUR team? Let us know . . .
